Teriyaki portobello with asian coleslaw

This isn't the most complicated cooking I've ever done but it was good :-)

I marinated portobello mushrooms in teriyaki sauce and then cooked them on the stovetop and served them on Il Fornaio rolls topped with asian coleslaw. Messy! Good!

That looks marvelous! I would love that for dinner. What buns do you use?

Hmmm - looks similar to what we made last night (without the coleslaw though). Good stuff.

Hey Jess - I get them at Trader Joes - they are by Il Fornaio and they come in a package of 4. We always use these for veggie burgers and other sandwiches. They are really good.

Mmmmmmmmm!! So great!!! I buy the big portobellos at Trader Joes and marinate them in Soy Vay. I haven't tried the rolls but will look for them. Pretty coleslaw also... Bet these were so fabulous.

And i must say it:
I LOVE MESSY FOOD!!!

Great post, thanks, Nancy!!

coleslaw is the best on sandwiches and burgers.

Great idea with the marinade! I am going to do that with our portabellas tonight.
