Air conditioning/doesn't cool.Â
Another day in Manhattan - not a long day as we had dinner reservations in the evening. But it was fun to wander Eataly, have a little lunch, a little lambrusco, a little gelato. But the temperatures were rising and our AC had stopped working during the night. We'd let the front desk know and we were super happy to get a text on our way home from the city that they had fixed the AC. We walked into our nicely refrigerated room, very relieved.
For dinner we went to a restaurant called Claro here in Brooklyn with Hallie's boss and his wife. They were delightful and the food was amazing. It was a prix fixe menu, every course was delicious and we had a wonderful night. And luckily only a block or two to walk home. The neighborhood in Brooklyn where we are staying (Gowanus) is such an interesting mix of people, places and things to do and see. We are in the neighborhood where Hallie's studio is located, just a neighborhood over from where she and Luca live. It's a fun place.
Tomorrow is back to work for Hallie and Luca and a flight to SFO for Babac for some visa related stuff. One week until we set sail.
