I ended up with some pretty bad back spasms today. Babac and I walked to Hallie's studio and got a tour before he headed to the airport. I walked back to our hotel and on the way stopped in a pharmacy for ice packs. IÂ was on a mission.
We had a dinner reservation that I'd made over a month ago for tonight and I was determined to get there. The restaurant is called Sofreh and I did indeed make it. It's a Persian restaurant with some modern takes on classic Persian food. Anyone who has been to any kind of gathering at our house has had, at some point, Babac's speciality which is a dish called kashk bademjan. It's an eggplant dish with garlic, onion and an ingredient called kashk which is liquid whey. We ordered that dish at the restaurant and I have to say - his would be a good match any day.
