We had a full day in Toronto today which was glorious. We started the day with an excellent coffee and croissant from the cafe in our hotel, laced up our shoes and hit the streets. We've tried to get out and walk at each of our destinations but today was a real walking day. The weather was perfect and the city was bustling. There was another Blue Jays game today and apparently some sort of anime convention. Made for interesting people watching.
We came across the adorable Berczy Park Dog Fountain - I looked for a pointer but no luck.Â
We wandered to the St. Lawrence Market. Just as beautiful as last time we were here.
There was an American Express/Aeroplan Rewards card promotion going on and we got some free gelato. I mean, how could we not?
Then we headed to the Distillery District. We had a very good lunch at El Catrin Destileria. It's a beautiful space - both the patio and indoors. As we were walking back toward the hotel we saw a couple walking with their dog and I asked if I could say hello. It was an Italian pointer named Vinnie. I got to see a pointer after all.Â
Tonight we went to the waterfront. Full of baseball fans, families - every language and ethnicity that you can imagine. It's a really wonderful sight and sound to experience.Â
Tomorrow we head for Montreal - time for Babac to brush off the high school French.
