I think the daily hour change is catching up with us. Two more to go. It will ultimately be better than the usual jet lag but mornings have been a bit rough. Add to this, we have an interior cabin (since we booked so late) which means we are sleeping in a pitch black room. Hard to tell if it's 3am or 8am.
If you eat in the main dining room at breakfast or lunch they will seat you at a different table each time - at dinner you have an assigned table. For lunch today they took us to a great window-side table. The view was quite nice! The water is starting to get a bit choppy but it was still fairly calm around lunch time.
The deck we are on has an indoor pool with a bar and lounge chairs - but it feels like you are outdoors - just no wind. There are ping pong tables and a bar. The bartender there said he has been with Cunard for 22 years.Â
In the afternoon the wind and waves really started to pick up. By evening they had closed several of the decks due to high wind.Â
We took care of some necessities like laundry and ironing. They provide machines and laundry soap for free on several deck levels. Of course you can leave your laundry for them to do but we figure we're pretty capable of doing it ourselves.
I've been using the computers in the computer center to write updates and it makes it a bit tricky - accessing photos, downloading them and then deleting them from the computer. They provide plenty of places to use computers but they are all in varying states of function. As are the people using them. I was finally able to get our laptop to connect to their internet so hopefully no more library or computer center. The fact that there is connectivity at all is amazing. What people download on a public computer and forget to delete is also amazing. Tomorrow is Friday which is the halfway point of the crossing
