Today was our second full day on the ship. There are so many activities on the calendar - some more appealing than others. We decided today that we would go to the show at the planetarium and maybe to trivia in the pub at night.Â
During the day we went out walking and ended up on the deck when the dogs were out from their kennels. We are on the same deck as the kennels (intentionally) but we hadn't seen them out with their owners. I loved getting some dog time but it definitely made me sad that Romy wasn't there. The dogs all seemed pretty content and adjusted to the environment.Â
While we were walking we passed by the photo studio where you could look up the pictures that had been taken the night before for the Red and Gold Gala. Best laugh I've had for days. We made it to the planetarium show which was a Neil deGrasse Tyson program. It was a very interesting show but to be honest, I preferred the planetarium shows from the 80s that were set to Pink Floyd. This was a bit more PBS.
We didn't make it to trivia night. We had to decide whether to eat dinner at our daily reserved time in the dining room (8:30) which would mean missing trivia at 9pm - or, go to the buffet for dinner (which Babac has lovingly named "The Trough"). We decided that the experience in the dining room is so much better so we skipped trivia. After dinner we checked out the band playing in the Queens Room - they were called The Fourtunes which (naturally) made us think of the Oneders.Â
The pace is so nice. You can do a lot or you can do nothing. Even though there are 2400 guests on board it never feels like there are a lot of people. We continue to be surprised by the number of people we meet who are on their 40th, 50th, 60th cruise. Amazing.
